Raise Awareness For Breast Cancer
Posted on April 2, 2009
October is ‘Breast Cancer Awareness Month’. Unfortunately scarcely any of us recall this. But breast cancer is a very real and terminal disease that can affect close to 200,000 women during a single year. A few women are fortunate enough to be able to fight it. But the majority of these woman do not have the ability to beat it off.
The only way that we might be able to genuinely support these women is to express to them we care for them. We have the power to also donate money to an organisation that works on breast cancer research and a new remedytreatment. Each year the Susan G. Komen foundation puts together a 5k, 10k, marathon, and ultra marathon races. Millions of cancer survivors and relatives of cancer patients come together and show their support.
There are some women that are not able to make it to these races because they are not in the area and have no way of driving to it. Others have the ability to go to these races - but feel that they want to do more. If you have this hope than you should consider setting up a breast cancer fundraiser.
You can express your support in your hometown and bring women of all ages together by throwing a fundraiser. At this fundraiser you can provide a bit of valuable info about what breast cancer is and how it can touch millions of women each year. Attempt to find a woman who is fighting breast cancer or who has overcome it to talk to the other women. She can share her battles and implore them how serious it is to receive regular testings with their physicians in order to identify the cancer early.
There are dozens of fundraising activities that you can have and don’t forget the refreshments. The best way to raise money is to make special items that individuals will want to purchase. You can sell pins, hats, and shirts with the symbol of breast cancer awareness on them. Or you can be creative and produce gloves, scarves, and other things that have the symbol stitched into it. All of the proceeds can go to breast cancer research.
With the aid of friends and family you can have the ability to promote awareness of breast cancer to the women in your area. Help to show them how crucial it is receive regular examinations and to help and support others who are afflicted by this lethal disease.
Find some Fun Activities for your Breast Cancer Fundraiser to make it a success and to raise the money you need.

There is currently a raging debate about whether conventional or natural treatments are best for fighting your breast cancer.?Those on the conventional side will say that cancer cannot be cured, only managed, and that natural treatments have not been backed up scientifically.?Those on the natural side will say that conventional treatments are barbaric and usually do more harm than good.
I am a proponent of the natural way of doing things.?I believe that your body has developed breast cancer because of imbalances internally and if you can correct those imbalances, you can eliminate the cancer entirely.?Cutting off body parts and pumping… Continue reading
I imagine just about every woman after a certain age has some fear of breast cancer.?That’s not to say it’s on our minds night and day.?But with all we hear in the media and from doctors, it certainly has to be in there somewhere.?We all know someone who has it, has had it, or maybe has even died from it.?But as with all things like this, breast cancer starts with symptoms.?Here’s what to look for if you’re concerned and what to do to fix it if you find anything:
Lumps - Everyone knows this one.?Any odd shaped, irregular lumps in your… Continue reading
I’m sure most, if not all of us have had someone close to us diagnosed with breast cancer. Many of us have watched that person go through round after round of chemotherapy. Many of us have watched as their bodies were forever surgically altered. Many of us have watched them lose their battle and pass away. Whatever your experience may be, one thing is certain. Trying to find the right way to help someone with breast cancer can be tough.
I’ll fully admit that there are no right or wrong answers here. It will largely… Continue reading
